The CMP Night Brace

The CMP Night brace is not a total contact brace, the structural shell has both pressure and pressure relief areas, allowing dynamic movement within, as well as beyond the limits of the brace shell.

The combination of dynamic movement, around a position of maximum curve opening, provides optimal growth plate loading. When maximum dynamic loading changes occur during the night, coinciding with peak HGH (Human Growth Hormone) levels, vertebral growth can be optimally modulated to positive effect, minimising, arresting or even reversing curve progression. Of course, all braces will demonstrate some degree of in-brace curve correction, it must however, be appreciated that true permanent curve correction, can only be determined two years beyond completion of brace wear. Naturally, we release the most growth hormone (HGH) during deep sleep, peak secretions occur around 11PM-2AM, then drop, and then rise again slightly at dawn.

Optimised growth modulation provided by the CMP Night Brace allows part time (Night-Time) brace wear, to provide similar outcomes to that of full time bracing for selected curves.

The CMP Night Brace is neither a simple bending nor three-point pressure brace, the corrective movement principle offers true 3D global realignment of the whole spine. Optimised 3D realignment offers the greatest potential for correction of the scoliosis in all three planes of space. Optimal correction of the spine frequently involves postural over-correction, much greater over-correction is possible in Night bracing.

Additionally, the corrective movement position can be increased over time adding a fourth dimension Making the CMP Night-Time brace the first and only 4D Nocturnal bracing system.

Typically, initial in-brace corrections demonstrated on x-ray imaging are almost 100% compared to the 50% in-brace corrections typically seen with full-time bracing*
